On July 9, 2025, the NYCU-UM Biomedical Symposium, co-organized by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (UM), was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A total of 12 professors from NYCU’s College of Medicine and School of Pharmacy, as well as UM’s Faculty of Medicine, served as speakers. They presented their research findings and experiences in the biomedical field, laying the groundwork for further academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The symposium attracted 52 participants, including 11 from Taiwan and 41 from Malaysia, comprising scholars, faculty members, and students. The event highlighted the strengths and potential of both institutions in biomedical research, while also reinforcing long-term academic ties and medical education collaboration through in-person visits and knowledge sharing.
