The “2025 Taiwan-Malaysia Semiconductor Forum,” organized by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), was successfully held on July 8, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The forum centered on the theme: “Collaborative Innovation in Semiconductor Technologies and Biomedical Applications.” The forum was chaired by Prof. Chen-Yi Lee, NYCU, with keynote speeches delivered by Mr. Kelvin Liu, General Manager of ASE Malaysia, and Dr. Eu Poh Leng, Senior Director at NXP Semiconductors. The forum featured two technical sessions, bringing together 10 renowned scholars from institutions such as University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), NYCU, National Cheng Kung University, and Cornell University. These experts presented their latest research on semiconductor innovation, AI technologies, and biomedical applications. The event drew 90 participants from academia and industry, including 25 from Taiwan and 65 from Malaysia, providing a platform for cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange. This forum not only fostered in-depth dialogue and cooperation between Taiwan and Malaysia in the fields of semiconductors and biomedical technology but also demonstrated Taiwan’s active role in the global innovation ecosystem.
